Raising Awareness about Young Carers

Our Young Carers Team strive to raise awareness of the impact a caring role has on young people's physical and mental wellbeing. We deliver assemblies and staff training sessions in schools. We also offer regular awareness training sessions to professionals working with young people.

We publicise our services on social media:

We actively participate in raising awareness as part of the annual Young Carers Action Day, through a variety of different ways. In 2022, we created two short films and news articles about taking action to reduce isolation for Young Carers and Young Adult Carers. Grip Adventures 'Cave' in Sale, is where our Young Carers can have access to short breaks from their caring role and have the freedom to be a child without the pressure of caring responsibilities.
